Middleburg, once known as Chinn's Crossroads, was founded in 1787. It was named Middleburg because of its location halfway between Burke, VA and Winchester, VA along the Ashby Gap trading route(now followed by the US Route 50 Highway). Middleburg is a picturesque little town with some wonderful art galleries and is a great place for an afternoon stroll and a cup of coffee.
